Fulton Medical Center’s business office will bill your insurance carrier(s) directly. Your insurance carrier(s) will provide you with an “explanation of benefits” (EOB) statement. The EOB is not a bill. Rather, the EOB itemizes all of the services you received at Fulton Medical Center. The EOB will also explain what the insurance carrier is covering, or in other words, what the insurance carrier is paying our hospital, and what portion you will be responsible to pay.
Once the EOB is processed through Fulton Medical Center, you will receive a bill from us for the portion not covered by your insurance carrier. This amount is due upon receipt. Additionally, while Fulton Medical Center will bill you for hospital services, you may also receive separate bills from other providers, including the radiologist, emergency room physician, surgeon or anesthesiologist, if applicable.
Fulton Medical Center will help you understand all costs associated with your procedure or services. Before receiving treatment, we ask that you cover any co-pay or deductible that your insurance carrier requires at the time services are rendered. If you are uninsured, you will need to cover charges in advance, or make arrangements with Fulton Medical Center’s business office for a payment plan.
Fulton Medical Center accepts several forms of payment: cash, cashier’s checks, major credit cards and personal checks with a valid ID. Additionally, you can pay your bill from this website under “Pay My Bill.” If you have any questions or need to discuss available payment options, feel free to contact our business office prior to treatment at (573) 592-7072. Our patient account representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. -4:30 p.m.
